FCE: Prison Break Masterminds Captured

Victory Squad Rescued, Villains Thwarted

By Garret Green

A series of lighting-fast raids have collapsed Feelgood's latest gang and have seen the recovery of missing Victory Squad heroes Lady Liberty, the Celestial Warden, and Johnny Rocket.

The now familiar team of heroes consisting of Pitch Black, Thongolifah and Sigfried Nyffenegger joined The Invisble Hand to strike first at the Freedom City Docks. They intercepted a shipment of chemicals which may have been destined for Dr. Charles Hatchet's illegal drug labs and captured a pair of metahumans who match the descriptions of two of the assailants from the prison convoy attack.

Despite the presence of the metahumans and other criminals at the docks in question, there's still some question as to the legality of the shipment. "There appears to be a legitimate manifest for the goods in question, but there's also plenty of evidence of illegal activity here," said Sergeant Bert Barton of the Freedom City Police Department.

Shortly after the incident at the docks, the motley team proceeded to Dr Hatchet's hideout in an abandoned industrial complex. After engaging in what the Invisible Hand called a "wild battle," they captured not only Dr. Feelgood and his sometimes henchmen Rant and Rave, but also Australian criminal Auntie Molly Jist and a mysterious metahuman who seems to match the description of World War 2 super-villain Panzerfaust.

"Looks like we wrapped up a sticky situation," Pitch Black quipped to reporters later.

Lady Liberty expressed her gratitude through a Victory Squad press release about the incident. "We owe an incredible debt to our heroes. Today was a great victory for justice, and for us personally."

However, her gratitude was tempered with security concerns. "I'm confident that there were no security problems on our end. In a few days Anfial and I will inspect Dr. Steel's operations at Golgotha. If we are not satisfied with his investigations and security upgrades we will no longer store villains at his facility, regardless of his contracts with the city."

Representatives from Dr. Steel and the Mayor's office could not be reached in time to comment.
